Cortella & Ballarin was founded in 1982 in Murano by the union of three partners united by a passion for light processing. It is a very ancient processing method that has evolved over the centuries. Originally the flame of a light lamp released the heat necessary to melt the glass, today it has been replaced by a metal torch connected to a propane gas cylinder or methane reinforced by oxygen emissions to increase the temperature of the fire to be directed on the glass. With this technique these objects are made that combine the skill and technique of this ancient glass art of Murano together with the
creativity and originality of the design that make every artifact unique, completely handmade.
